The Les Brown Film Festival

7:00 pm 

 Pine Grove Theatre

  213 S.  Tulpehocken St., Pine Grove, PA

The 3rd annual film festival features cinematic appearance of  Les Brown in a specially chosen film.  Whether a big band fan or cinema history buff, don’t miss this opportunity to view them in a 1920s renovated historical theatre.

This event is open to the public and admission is FREE.

The M & J Big Band


6:00 – 9:00 pm

Tower City American Legion Post 468

 2 Clarks Valley Rd, Tower City, PA 17980

Dance ’til you drop with three hours of music of the big band era. Tickets are $10.00; available at the door or for reserve seating call: 717-926-2849

Food and drinks available for purchase.

Autobiographical books by former Band of Renown member Bob Alberti and big band historian David Miller will also be available for purchase. A limited number of festival t-shirts will also be on sale.



Sunday, April 30

Celebration of Music

 3:00 pm

St. Peter’s United Church of Christ

427 Dietrich Avenue, Tower City, PA 17980

This non-denominational worship service will be held  at 3:00 pm and is open to the public. This event is free. A goodwill offering will be taken. After the service there will be light refreshments and a time for fellowship.

Special music will be by local  musicians including:

—-The Pickers, a string trio specializing in gospel, country, and bluegrass

—-The WV Community Choir

—-The Keyboards of Sheryl Hart & Melanie Waters

—-Guldin Brass Jazz
